Atlas Shrugged Screenplay

As someone who appreciates Ayn Rand, and in particular Atlas Shrugged, I was, along with many millions of others I presume, dismayed at the recent film with the same name (2011). It is not worthy of description here, but suffice it to say that it is left to others to write a more perfect screenplay for such a work, and to offer it up for production in hopes of animating the genius of Ayn Rand for the world to behold.

It is to these ends that I have embarked upon the task of converting this novel, second only in English language sales to the Bible, into a film which is worthy of the author of its inception. I have begun the work and have completed many of its scenes, but have decided to publish it publicly as it develops for several reasons:

1. to continue to arouse interest in and exposure to the work,
2. to encourage its readers that a more fitting screenplay is in the works,
3. to provide exciting installments for fans of Ayn Rand, and illicit feedback from them, and
4. to establish authorship in the case of plagiarism, although I don't imagine any true fan of Ayn Rand would ever conceive of such a thing.

This work will evolve with time. I plan to post updates weekly on this blog, perhaps every first day of the week. I hope you will enjoy it to the degree that painful strides have been made to make it truly faithful to the book.

Watch here for updates. I thank you, and mostly I thank Ayn Rand.
